History:
Signed on in November 1987 with the WZTZ call sign.  Changed to WVVL in June of 2006 as "Weevil 101", a nod to the area's diversification away from cotton.  Originally a straight-up country station, they transitioned to a classic country format in the summer of 2010 or thereabouts.
