- History:
- 101.1 has been
WNOE FM since its beginning in the late 60's. At the time, it was
companion of top 40 giant WNOE AM 1060. For most of its history, it
was top 40 or AoR, until the 80's, when someone realized the market
had no full time, full power country outlet. WNOE AM and FM
went country. The AM was later spun off and WNOE FM remains the
market's country giant.
The station was knocked off the air for a few days in late August
2021 by Hurricane Ida.
