History:
This station's history started with a denied application for a new low power FM station filed in December 2014.  An accepted filing was granted a new construction permit a month later, in January 2015.  The station was one of three Birmingham area LPFMs on 93.3 MHz, and it was one of two to initially use the NAACP building across from the Carver Theater in downtown Birmingham as its transmitter site.  (The other station eventually applied to move to a site east of downtown, and the third LPFM was to be located in Pelham.)

After a minor chance in antenna height was granted by the FCC in January 2018, the station filed a license to cover on 16 January 2018.  The current operational status is unknown.  This station operates on a shared-time agreement with WFYN-LP in Birmingham, and has only briefly been heard on air.
