Owner:
Alabama A&M University
History:
Although the original construction permit for this station wasn't granted until 1989, the university had been trying to get funding for a student station as far back as the 1970s.  The station signed on in late August of 1991 with the WJAB call letters (for Jazz And Blues.)  The station filed a notice of digital service in January of 2015 and is confirmed to be in HD, with a second channel active but with no content.
