History:
The second station to come out of Auburn University after (now) WAPI-AM.  Signed on in 1971 as a class D station with 10 watts. See Wikipedia for more complete history of this station.  In July 2015 the station received a construction permit to vacate their antenna site atop the Haley Center next to the stadium, for a slightly higher perch on the cell phone tower located at the Satellite Uplink Center on West Stamford Road.  That facility went on the air in early November 2017.
