Came on the air in the late 90's as a CHR formatted station playing into the Columbus, Georgia market; as WBFA, was sloganed as "B 101". Changed to a black adult contemporary format in August 2004 as "101.3 The Beat". The station swapped calls and format with WAGH in Fort Mitchell in 2007.  In April 2011 the station finished an upgrade from 6 to 18 kW.
