107.3 started in the
late 60's as WAJB, a MoR Pensacola station. Later became WOWW, "Wow 107"
and was country oriented. Was the market's rating leader for most of the
80's, until overtaken by competing station WXBM. In the mid-90's, spent
a brief period of time as "New Rock One Zero Seven", then went to oldies
as Kool 107 when it was aquired by the same owners as another rock outlet,
WTKX.
