FM History Profile: WRTT

History:
Signed on the air in the 1940's as WHBS-FM. It was probably put on the air by WHBS-AM.
Amusingly, WBHP's original calls were WBHS. Most likely WHBS was put on the air after WBHS became WBHP. Confuzing radio!
WNDA changed format and calls January 31st, becoming WRTT, "KIXX 95, Continuous Country".  The station had been owned by Frederic E. Wells since 1972, and has had a contemporary Christian music format. The station has been purchased by STG Media, owner of WAHR 99.1 FM, also in Huntsville.
As of Monday, February 14th, the station changed formats (again!) to a modern/classic rock mix with the sloan, "95.1 The Rocket, Huntsville's rock station."
