TV History Profile: WNCF

History:

May have began as WCCB.

This station came on the air on March 12, 1964 as WKAB TV; later changed to WHOA for "Heart of Alabama". Has always been an ABC affiliate. The calls were changed to WNCF in 1999. WNCF stands for "Where News Comes First".  Not to be confused with Montgomery's WMCF, on channel 45.
