Originally was to be
the FM counterpart to WMOB 840 AM, but those plans were abandoned and the
construction permit sold to AM station WABB in the early 70's. Since then
the station has always been WABB. The format was somewhat AoR in the 70's
but has been CHR since the early 80's.
