History:
Georgia Public Broadcasting signed on this station as a fill-in for southwest Georgia in 1993, with the WYHD calls.  In February 1992 the calls changed to WJWV.  The station received a permit to slightly alter facilities (raise height, lower power, change antenna pattern) in early January 2017 and had the facility on air just a few weeks later.
